NHS Masterclasses

In the Autumn of 2010 Citadel Events presented a series of free to attend, regionally based Masterclass events, delivered by senior NHS leaders, who addressed many of the issues and implications of the Department of Health white paper 'Equity and Excellence'.

Organised in association with the NHS Health Informatics Benchmarking Club the Masterclasses were aimed at senior Health Informatics professionals, decision making clinicians, Directors of Information and Performance and those responsible for establishing GP Commissioning consortia. Each Masterclass was chaired by John Rayner, Director of the Health Informatics Service.

The events provided a unique opportunity for Health Informatics professionals from around the country to discuss the Informatics response to these radical reforms.

Citadel Event’s vision for the Masterclasses

Citadel Events is currently planning a further series of Masterclases and will once again be working in association with the Chair of the NHS Health Informatics Benchmarking Club. The Autumn programme will shortly be announced.

The events are intended to build on the initial series and, 8-9 months on, to investigate and explore how ICT systems and services can support the new initiatives and the strategic direction of the NHS as the changes become clearer.

Once again Citadel will be coordinating the presence of commercial suppliers in supporting these events and is looking for a small number of committed colleagues from the supplier community to take advantage of a unique opportunity to meet senior decision makers in relaxed and informal circumstances.
